What is expected of members?
We ride, we help
All Pony Club events are 100% volunteer run.
All events at Park Ridge are run under the rule “we ride, we help”. This means riders (or their guardians) are expected to assist in set up & pack down, or in the canteen or some other capacity, at all events they are riding in.
Sometimes, life gets in the way. If you can’t help with set or pack down, or provide a helper on the day, you will need to email parkridgeponyclubsecretary@gmail.com to arrange how you might be able to contribute beforehand or on the day, such as helping with canteen or the like.
Additionally, there will be scheduled working bees to assist with maintenance, painting, gardening, cleaning, whippersnipping, tidying etc etc. and all members are expected to help. Mowing of the grounds is an ongoing activity: if this is something you are able to assist with, please advise the Club.
Please note – no help no ride generally applies to all Pony Club events. If you are going to an event at another club, they will usually require you to also help out with a task on the day.

When you are a member of Park Ridge, you are also a member of Pony Club Queensland and Pony Club Australia.
As a member, you agree to be bound and abide by the rules, policies and by-laws of:

3. Pony Club Queensland, and
4. Pony Club Australia.

For our Club’s day to day running, we abide by our Bylaws link and Club Constitution link. There are regular monthly meetings and Minutes are distributed by email. Members are encouraged to become involved in the committee and in the running and organising of events: remember we are 100% volunteer run
